COURT DATE SET! Fayetteville, AR – update as of September 23, 2025.
The trial date has officially been set for November 5, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. regarding the matter of our in-store video boards displaying the gently waving American Flag.
Attached you will find a copy of the criminal summons and a copy of our motion to dismiss. As of today, we have not yet received a copy of the original complaint nor a response to our motion to dismiss which was submitted on or about July 7, 2025.
This has been an eye-opening episode for certain in our town. Dozens of veterans, non-customers and curious parties have come by to offer their support and their own stories of why each feels this is an important matter. The stories have brought smiles, chills and tears – all of which we will cherish no matter the outcome of our trial.
Folks have sent us lots of pictures and videos of other such video boards operating within the city limits of Fayetteville. Trucks driving around with video board ads running as they drive, other local businesses operating similar video boards and the best of all, some Fayetteville public schools with outdoor, road-facing flashing video boards – if the argument is “distraction”, the last place to cause a distraction would be a school zone, right?
From our Collier Drug Store family to yours, we are deeply grateful for the hundreds of you who have stood with us. The past few weeks have reminded us how important it is to stand together for what is good and right, and we are encouraged knowing we’re not standing alone.
