CFV Legacy Pediatrics went red today. Today is National Go Red for Women Day Today we recognize that heart disease is the #1 cause of death for women in the US.
Take a minute to visit the American Heart Association website at heart.org to learn the signs of heart attack in women ( they can be different) or find a local resource to learn Hands Only CPR. You could save a life!

Today we say goodbye to Legacy Pediatrics. Legacy and its staff has served Fayetteville and the surrounding communities since 2009 after joining forces with Dr. Lemaster. We have been honored to entrusted with the care of the children of countless families over the years. Thank you for trusting us and supporting us.

The clinic will reopen Monday as Cape Fear Valley Legacy Pediatrics. The providers and staff of Legacy will be staying on and providing the same excellent care you have come to expect. We are eager to keep caring for your children.

Legacy Pediatrics has been honored to serve the Fayetteville area since 2009, carrying forward the legacy initiated by Dr. Pierre Lemaster's 33 years of dedicated pediatric service in our community. Over the years, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to delivering expert and compassionate care to children and families across Cumberland and surrounding counties, including our honorable military service members.
As the landscape of healthcare evolves, Legacy Pediatrics, under the stewardship of Dr. Hodges and her exceptional team, has encountered various challenges. In response to these changes, we are excited to announce that Legacy Pediatrics is becoming part of Cape Fear Valley Health. This strategic next step of our practice will enable our staff and providers to maintain their focus on delivering top-notch patient care, while Cape Fear Valley Health will handle the regulatory and administrative aspects of running a bustling practice. This transition is scheduled to take place on May 6, 2024.
Dr. Hodges and our dedicated staff will remain in the practice, ensuring the continuation of the exceptional care you have come to expect from Legacy Pediatrics. While the clinic's name will change to Cape Fear Valley Legacy Pediatrics, we assure you that there will be minimal disruption to your patient experience. Our operating hours, policies, and unwavering commitment to providing personalized care will remain unchanged. Dr. Hodges has diligently worked with Cape Fear Valley Health to preserve our pediatric clinic model throughout this transition.
Your medical records will continue to be securely housed with us for as long as you choose to remain a patient of Cape Fear Valley Legacy Pediatrics. Should you decide to seek care elsewhere, upon you signing a record release, we will gladly facilitate the transfer of your records at your request.
