It’s been a minute since I’ve posted on here as I had been on maternity leave and also have relocated. With that, I am so happy to announce that I have officially been licensed in the state of AR! I am now dually licensed and will be offering in person therapy services in the state of AR in addition to online counseling services for TX residents!

Hello! I am pleased to share that I have received training in Cognitive Processing Therapy to better help my clients identify the impact of trauma on their beliefs, how they feel about others, and the world around them. This treatment really focuses on understanding our patterns of thinking along with the thoughts that keep us stuck in a rut. Throughout this treatment, we take a look at evidence supporting these thoughts and find that having an objective perspective of the situation can free our minds from faulty thinking patterns. This allows us to live more fully and in alignment with our true values. I'm excited to integrate this along with ART to help clients receive more wholistic care where their somatic experience is acknowledged and validated, their amygdala is regulated, and their prefrontal cortex allows for more cognitive flexibility in thinking and problem solving.

I am proud to share that I am now trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)! This is a great therapy for reprocessing trauma and treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, phobias, and other psychological conditions. I am excited to start incorporating this into my practice to help people find relief as they seek healing!

Happy to announce I am now trained in Exposure and Response Prevention! This is an evidence based practice that branches off of CBT to help clients struggling with anxiety and OCD. I’m excited to incorporate this into my practice as a therapist and be better equipped to help those struggling with severe anxiety.

2024 Updates:

February, I will have my training in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)—a great form of treatment for various mental health problems. What I love about DBT is its focus on emotional regulation and distress tolerance. This will be so helpful for clients who have a long history of maladaptive coping and/or avoidant behaviors.

March, I will be fully trained in Exposure and Response Prevention for treatment of OCD & Anxiety.

Stay tuned for more updates!

I won’t lie when I tell you I have felt this way several times (& still do). When you’ve become accustomed to swallowing your painful experiences, it’s really easy to lean into being more passive. What’s hard about this is that it often times makes us feel guilty rather than providing relief or alleviating our discomfort. We are trying to keep the peace by living in congruence with others values and feelings, rather than in congruence with our own.

If you or someone you know could benefit from counseling please don’t hesitate to reach out or have them reach out! A phone call is free and can help you decided if we’d be a good fit!
