Hi there! I couldn't find a message function so trying this way. I'm with the Elkins-Area Business Networking Group and we created a growing business directory. Right now, we are using it to help businesses share how to do business with them during the COVID crisis. Who do we reach out to for someone to complete the form for MANA's two south locations (and any in our service area?)
I have to say I LOVE my Doctor! Dr. Magre at First Care Family Doctor South thankyou for being the best Doctor ever for my family! My youngest daughter has Asthma and I am immunocompromised and should not be out right now. When I called to get Faye an appointment for her earache my Doctor asked me if I had cell service where I live, I told her no but I could drive to get it. She told me to drive to get cell service and she would video conference me so we didnt have to get out! HOW WONDERFUL! I am so proud to be apart of this medical facility! My Doctor truly cares about our welfare and safty, about my kids, about me! I dont know if she will ever know how special this was to me, how touched I was for her to do this for me, how important my child and I felt that she was taking the time to see her even if she couldn't physically touch her. She was very thorough and extremely caring. I absolutely loved this experience and I genuinely felt loved! RIGHT! A great experience to say the least!
We are currently part of a power outage. We appreciate your patience while we wait for repairs.
I did like going here, but I had an appointment to get a years worth of medicine refilled a month ago and when I tried to refill it today the pharmacy says the script was never sent and I'd have to call the doctors office. I called 5+ times trying to just leave a message with my doctors nurse for a refill and the freaking answering machine doesn't even work. Why did I waste my time going to the doctor a month ago if now when I really need my meds I can't get them or get ahold of anyone who works there. Very frustrated. If your office hours are until 7 you need to have an on call nurse able to answer the phone at least until that time!

Abbey Burroughs knew in college that she wanted to be in the medical field. She applied to nursing school and the rest was history! She loved everything about nursing from the curriculum to clinicals. She really enjoyed the clinic setting. She has been at South for 5 months and we are happy she joined our team!

When asked what she felt was the most rewarding part of being a nurse she said, "Seeing the progress patients make and being an advocate for their needs, when they may not have someone. I enjoy the nurse-patient relationship formed with family practice!"

Abbey, we thank you for dedicating your career to helping others and we are so grateful for you!

Gina Needham has been a nurse for 26 years! She has spent the last 16 years of that at South.

Gina decided to be a nurse when her sister got sick, she had some of the most incredible nurses. They were amazing and caring and they made such a difference for her and all of the family. It was then she knew she wanted to be a nurse.

Gina loves family practice and said that it's fun to get to know the whole family. "We are so blessed to have the team that we have working here and of course Doc, Kim, and Amie bless me in so many ways."

Thank you Gina for being so kind and for your years of service in nursing!

Therese Crosby has been a nurse for 32 years! She's been a nurse at South for almost 19 years. Interestingly, she actually wanted to be an archaeologist, but started working at a clinic as a receptionist and was encouraged to pursue nursing, a decision that she was grateful for the difference it made in her life.

Therese had this to say about her time at South, "Working at South is unique in the aspect that we all have become family. We haven't had too many changes in the past few years which is a credit to our physicians, manager, and Staff. We at South not only are committed to the healthcare of our patient's but also for each other. I believe we all feel blessed and fortunate to be working here."

When asked what she finds most rewarding about being a nurse, Therese said, "Being a nurse for as long as I have you have seen changes in healthcare. The advances in healthcare has been remarkable and exciting. I have worked under some great mentors over the years especially Dr Larry Tuttle. He is a great diagnostic family practice doctor, as I like to think of him. He has always included me in the work up of patient's and has patiently explained each and every step. It is rewarding to continue to learn new things as healthcare changes every day. The most rewarding aspect of my job is the people I have met in the last 18 plus years. I have watched young children grow up to be adults and other's age before my eyes with our "youngest" being 102. Knowing that I and my fellow nurses can make a difference in someone's life for the better is what keeps us being who we are and in the end there is nothing more rewarding than that."

Thank you for your many years of dedicated service to our clinic and the community!
