Happy Friday everybody!!
We hung out in Cortland last weekend with our members for pumpkin painting! It was such a fun time to catch up with our neighbors and enjoy some tasty donuts and apple cider!

Happy Tuesday everyone!
One of our favorite things to do is to strike up some fun at the bowling alley! Last week we had a great time hosting a fall bowling party in Cortland County for our members. We loved catching up with our neighbors, enjoyed delicious food, and even squeezed in some fall bingo too. Thanks to Hi-Lanes for always being so accommodating and helping us make such fun memories!

Happy Tuesday!
We had such a fun time this past weekend in Cortland! Some of our members met at a local park for coffee and muffins while we tried a hand at spin art. Check out the cool frisbees and wall art we made! Thanks so much to Steve at SPLAT! Sumthin' for creating such a fun experience!!

Happy Friday everyone!
We had such a fun time in Onondaga this past Monday for our annual county picnic!
We enjoyed delicious food, bingo, live music, and a stroll down the pier to the lake. It was a beautiful day to spend some time with our neighbors. Wishing all of our friends in Onondaga a fun summer!

Happy Friday everyone!
We had a fun time in Cortland this past Wednesday for our annual summer picnic! It was a hot day, but some of our members were able to make it out to Suggett Park for live music, good food, bingo, and even a rubber duck race! As always, it was a joy to spend time together. We're wishing all of our wonderful neighbors a great summer!

Person to Person: Citizen Advocacy

The mission of Person to Person: Citizen Advocacy (PPCA) is to promote the protection of and advocacy for people who are devalued, usually due to a mental or physical disability. PPCA programs bring the needs of an individual at risk of social isolation to the attention of a citizen who, with support staff, will respond to those needs through a freely given advocacy relationship.

People with developmental disabilities live in every neighborhood. We are neighbors helping neighbors. Most importantly, the community volunteer advocate is the protégé’s friend who shows and shares the world around them. With support from the Person to Person staff, matches between advocates and persons with developmental disabilities are created to often form long-lasting friendships that can make all the difference in the world to an individual.
