It can be so easy to fall off your healthy habits this time of year...
The constant social & family obligations that triple, the shopping, the extra errands & cooking, the travel, the work parties, the kids' extra school functions.
All the extra demands on our time during the holiday season make it easy to say "I can't make it to the gym." or "I don't have time to cook." but the one big thing we've noticed over our last decade as a health & wellness facility is that our clients who continue showing up for their health during the holidays are the ones that:
😷Don't get sick as often
🔋Have more energy for all the extra to- do's on their list
🍽️Make healthier, more balanced choices around food, alcohol & treats
⚖️Don't gain weight between October - January
😓Skip feeling like they have to start over with a New Year's Resolution
Our clients continue making progress towards their health, wellness & fat loss goals during the holidays because they:
🏋️♀️Keep their routines as normal as possible and prioritize making to the gym to give back to themselves amidst the hustle and grind.
🥗Support their immune systems by eating healthy, nutrient dense foods most of the time
💤Get enough sleep to promote recovery, rest & repair (7 hrs minimum & 8-9 as optimal)
🚰Drink more water than alcohol, soda & coffee to promote proper hydration, energy, recovery, joint health & mental performance
🧘♀️Practice mindfulness in eating i.e. tuning into their emotions around food
You can easily see these same results just by continuing to show up for yourself how you were when life wasn't as busy. Hop into the comments and let us know which healthy habit you're going to prioritize this week.
