Today was filled with tears, hugs, and heartfelt smiles as we said “see you later” to a very special lady, Darlene as she prefers to be called, who officially began her next chapter in her new assisted living home. 🏡✨

Darlene came to Fayetteville Health & Rehab in July 2024 for rehabilitation after suffering from two broken feet. At the time, she was unable to walk, but with the help of our dedicated therapy team and her own strong determination, Darlene made incredible progress. 💪💙

Before we knew it, she was walking again like nothing had ever happened! Over time, she became so much more than a patient — she became family. In her own words, she said: "You all are like family to me, residents included. I’m going to miss you, but I’m excited for what’s ahead."

We live for these success stories. They are the heart of what we do. Watching our residents heal, grow, and regain their independence reminds us why we show up each day with compassion and care. Whether someone is with us short-term or long-term, our commitment remains the same: Loving, compassionate, and encouraging care — every step of the way. 💜

"A Success Story!"

We Love all of our residents and family members at Fayetteville Health and Rehabilitation. We strive to provide the best care whether they are with us for a short while or with us for Long-term care. We pour an enormous amount of Love, Care, and dedication to each and every one of them. We are always so excited to share our success stories, especially when our Residents return home and share with us the progress they continue to make!

This is one of them... he wanted to share & we are thrilled to hear from him, seeing the continued progress and improvement he continues to make!!!

"Thank you 🙏 for helping me relearn how to walk up my front steps as well as the other orientation exercises... Before spending nearly, a month in the hospital, I did not realize that our muscles will forget how to walk… and your PT team gave me print outs of simple exercises to do here at home. These not only help restore muscle memory but also coordination of the limbs and eye movement.
Now, along with my wife’s encouragement, I can even walk backwards and sideways.
But, not with shoes on cause my bare toes help me balance!"

It's been a fun and exciting week at Fayetteville health and rehab. We were so honored to be able to share some appreciation and acknowledgment to our emergency workers in Washington County. We know how busy they are and how important their jobs are and that sometimes they are unable to come and be recognized for what they do so we were more than happy To deliver food to them and express our appreciation for all that they do not just for us, but for our county and our community!
