Greg and I have decided to retire to Panama. We have done all the paperwork for our visas and yesterday we shipped off a pallet of stuff that is going to get on the container ship and it should be in Panama City before we arrive July 5th and stay for about 10 days. He is going to be staying with a friend. I will fly back and finish the school term and help the new school owner learn the ropes. Black Brook School of Massage will continue on and I should to be able to announce who is going to be taking over this week.
I will teach several Creative Healing classes in November at the school before I leave.
As far as living, we will be looking for a rental in the mountains where it is cooler but within 90 minutes from the ocean. Greg has never stopped missing the ocean, but neither of us want to live at 90 degrees all the time. We will be doing some exploring before we decide where to buy a home.
I do plan to be able to come back and forth for teaching Creative Healing in Arkansas and other places in the US. The retirement visa for Panama is cool because it gives you discounts on airfare around the world. My students have known that this was my last year teaching massage. I just needed to let everyone else know as well.
