The Pediatric After Hours Care of Fayetteville clinic has been honored to serve the Fayetteville area since 2018, fulfilling a previously unmet need for specialized children’s care (not ED) after normal work hours in our community. Over the past 5 years, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to delivering expert and compassionate care to children and families across Cumberland and surrounding counties, including our honorable military service members.

As the landscape of healthcare evolves, The Pediatric After Hours clinic, under the stewardship of Dr. Hodges and her exceptional team, has encountered various challenges. In response to these changes, we are excited to announce that The Pediatric After Hours Care of Care clinic is becoming part of Cape Fear Valley Health. This strategic next step of our practice will enable our staff and providers to maintain their focus on delivering top-notch patient care, while Cape Fear Valley Health will handle the regulatory and administrative aspects of running a bustling practice. This transition is scheduled to take place on May 6, 2024.

Dr. Hodges and our dedicated staff will remain in the practice, ensuring the continuation of the exceptional care you have come to expect from the Pediatric After Hours Care clinic. While the clinic's name will change to Cape Fear Valley Kids’ Care After Hours, we assure you that there will be minimal disruption to your patient experience. Our operating hours, policies, and unwavering commitment to providing personalized care will remain unchanged. Dr. Hodges has diligently worked with Cape Fear Valley Health to preserve our pediatric after hours model throughout this transition.

Your medical records will continue to be securely housed with us for as long as you choose to remain a patient of Cape Fear Valley Kids’ Care After Hours. Should you decide to seek care elsewhere, upon you signing a record release, we will gladly facilitate the transfer of your records at your request.

Our clinic is hiring! We are looking for new team members for our administrative and MA positions. Experience is preferred but we will train. Hours are Fridays 5:30-8:30pm and Saturdays and Sundays 10-4. Employees are expected to work 1-2 weekends a month.
We are also hoping to expand in the near future to include clinic hours on Monday and Thursday evenings. Those hours would also be 5:30-8:30pm.

After prayerful consideration, the owners of the Pediatric AfterHours Care of Fayetteville clinic have decided to change our hours starting January 1, 2023.

Starting January 1st, our clinic will transition to a weekend only clinic. We will continue our current schedule for Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

We strive to provide excellent care to our community during times when most pediatricians are closed. But we have struggled with staffing at the provider level. This schedule change will allow us to keep the clinic open and appropriately staffed.

We appreciate your continued use of our clinic.

Pediatric After Hours Care of Fayetteville is looking for an Advanced Practice Provider to join our team! Clinic hours are Monday-Friday 5:30pm-9:00pm and Saturday and Sunday 10:00am-4:00pm. Providers are expected to work some weeknights and weekends with flexibility.

Requirements:

· Graduation from an accredited NP/PA Program

· Licensed by the NC Board of Nursing or NC Medical Board of Examiners

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Excellent oral and written communications skills

· BLS certification

Job Summary: Providing acute care to children aged 0-18 years of age in an office setting. We are currently the only Pediatric Urgent Care in Fayetteville, NC and provide the community with a needed alternative to the ER for after hours care.

Candidate is expected to assess and treat multiple acute conditions including asthma flairs, ear infections, viral illnesses, UTIs, rashes, and other minor illnesses. No X rays, sutures, or cardiac evaluations are done at this location. The ideal candidate will enjoy treating children, maintain composure and work efficiently under pressure, be able to interpret CLIA-Waved labs, and implement effective treatments.
