Fayette C.A.R.E. Clinic is a Free Clinic serving Fayette County, GA Fayette CARE Clinic opened its doors on May 1, 2006.

We started seeing patients one evening a week for medical care. We quickly added dental the following week. We were seeing approximately 16 medical patients and 6 dental patients each week. There was an overwhelming need for our services, and in September 2006, we added another day. Our relationship with Piedmont Fayette allowed us to provide lab work and x-rays free of charge. In 2008 we added two Thursday evenings a month and vision care. Fayette CARE Clinic established new partnerships with OutPatient Imaging and Georgia Lions Lighthouse. These partnerships provide mammograms, CT scans, MRI, eyeglasses and even some surgeries for our patients. Over time we have expanded our of operation to 4 days per week, with additional clinics added as grants and volunteers have become available.

We cannot let National Medical Assistant Week go by without giving a huge shout out to our very own amazing Tiona Tynes! Not only does she perform her daily job as a medical assistant in our clinic, she also acts as our front office assistant and assists our patients with all of their paperwork. In addition, she takes time out on her weekends to volunteer at local community health fairs! We appreciate you so very much!

We continue to receive amazing community support at the Fayette Care Clinic! Last week we received several large boxes of food donations from McIntosh High School’s Beta Club. Our friends from A Better Way helped to assemble our shelves and unpack the boxes. Such a great way to support our patients. We can’t thank you enough!

Over the course of the program, our clients are learning how to shop for healthy food, how to meal plan, and even learn to line dance! Regional partnerships for a healthy community! Our Story

Fayette C.A.R.E. Clinic is a GVHCP-partnering clinic Georgia Volunteer Health Care Program (GVHCP) of the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) and a member of the Georgia Charitable Care Network.

Fayette C.A.R.E. Clinic opened its doors on May 1, 2005, in Fayetteville, GA. Providing only medical care, and open only one evening each week, we began serving the uninsured and lower-income residents in the community. Since that time our organization has grown in significant ways. We've expanded our services, increased our hours of operation, hired more staff, developed relationships with more volunteers and community partners. As a result, we're able to help much more of the underserved population in Fayette County.
