According to the Office of the North Carolina Attorney General, North Carolina joined every state and territory in signing a $7.4 billion settlement with Purdue Pharma and its owners, the Sackler family, for their role in the opioid crisis last June.

We are proud to join this year’s Fayetteville Dogwood Festival green initiative as they work toward becoming a Zero-Waste Festival. In partnership with Sustainable Sandhills and Nature’s Herbal Cabinet, we are excited to support efforts to reduce waste and promote sustainable practices throughout the event.

To make this possible, three composting stations will be available to help patrons sort food waste and other materials into compostable, recyclable, or landfill categories. Following the festival, a percentage of the composted material will be donated to a local community garden, giving nutrients back to the community and extending the impact of this initiative beyond the event itself. Small actions create huge impacts and we are so thankful for the support in reducing waste in our landfill!
