This is Landon, Erin's husband.

Tribute Flight: 10/24/24
In honor of our beloved Erin Elizabeth Larsen I we will be flying with Wild Blue Adventures on her birthday October 24th. We purchased a flight with Bill for her 40th birthday and she never got a chance to take it, so I will be carrying her picture and flying in her place.

Flight Time: 5:45-6:25 pm

We are inviting all who are able to hike to their favorite overlook in the New River Gorge in your brightest puffy jacket, and celebrate Erin in unison. We encourage you to stay on the North Side due to the Rim to Rim race that will be happening on the South Side.

The sun sets at 6:34 pm, dress warm, and bring a flashlight/headlamp.

Time: 6:00-7:30 pm, Doors will open at 4:30 pm,
A Concession Stand will be available with all proceeds going to EEL's Shala.

Hello Everyone, this is Landon Evans, Erin’s husband sending out an update with regard to our fundraising effort in Erin’s honor.

What started as a fundraising effort to help pay for a Celebration of Life has evolved into something much more meaningful. My mission in life is to keep Erin’s dreams alive and cement her legacy by building a Yoga Shala in her honor. The location of this Shala (Retreat Center) will be on our property below the Yurt in Fayetteville, WV.

Shala is a Sanskrit word meaning “home” or “school”. The Yoga Shala will be a gathering place for students of Yoga, Thai Bodywork, as Wellness. A venue to practice, learn, share, experience, and grow. We will specifically focus on offering women’s retreats for women in need. This will also serve as a mechanism for local Yoga teachers and business owners to carry on the mission Erin started, which is to share the benefits of a healthy, adventure filled lifestyle, and take people to places they never imagined they could go.

Thank you so much to all who have already donated. Out of this tragedy we will create something larger and more impactful than Erin and I could have ever done on our own.

Again 100% of all proceeds donated to this cause will go to the construction of the Yoga Shala.

As we embark on this quest to make Erin’s dream of having a Yoga Shala come true we will be sharing updates and celebrating milestones. Our hope is to break ground in the spring of 2025, but we need a little help from our friends. The first set of gentle steps in this process is to raise money, spread awareness, and collaborate on her honor.

We miss you madly Erin, but we know you will continue to be our guiding light through these traumatic times.

We are so grateful and humbled by the outpouring of support and want to make sure we do something powerful with this tragic moment in our lives.

The Celebration of Life will be held on the evening of 10/26/24 in downtown Fayetteville, WV. Details will be forthcoming.

3 spots left for this retreat! One room is fully open if you and a friend want to snag it! Each bedroom has its own bathroom and 2 beds. We are beach front, 3 blocks from downtown, one block from the famous Bert’s Market and close to all the great shops and food. I have a few folks flying in to Charleston, SC so that is an option as well and I can arrange airport pickup.

My dinner plate dahlias are popping! Look at the purple one 😍 A friend came over today and we picked her a bouquet and she traded me some lettuce and peaches from her garden. Let me know if you want to do a trade for flowers! It’s so fun to wander around and create a bundle of beauty.

During our Women’s Retreat we made our own bouquets farm and I’m inspired and better educated on how to make bouquets now. I bought $50 worth of seeds today to plant for next year and already scheming on what part of my lawn I will convert next. 🤣

A lovely little day in the New River Gorge National Park for our Women’s Restorative Retreat. After yoga we headed out to hike from the Upper Trailhead of Glade Creek and had our own little swimming hole all to ourselves. We stopped at Tamarack and then after dinner all the ladies have headed downtown to The Artists of the New at Love Hope while I recharge for our last day. What a beautiful weekend it has been.

It’s always been my favorite week of the summer and it’s happening again this year. The Folly Beach Yoga Retreat is Sept 28-Oct 5 and we have a beach front house, practice yoga daily, take part in an evening sunset paddleboard trip on the Folly River and are within walking distance to all the great spots on Folly.

There are 5 bedrooms each with their own bath and two beds. Three decks overlook the ocean. This spot can’t be beat.

The retreat is now Sold Out! I do have one spot left for the climbing retreat Sept 12-15. We have a similar schedule but climbing everyday for the activities 🧗!!

In addition the Folly Beach Retreat Sept 28-Oct 5 has plenty of room and Early Bird ends at the end of the month!

So much gratitude for this abundant life! Randy Boyd put together a most excellent weekend with Doug Keller exploring the therapeutics of yoga. And I got to practice with some of my most favorite people on this planet. 💞
