The Cumberland County Department of Public Health invites you to a Men's Health event on Saturday, June 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at College Lakes Recreation Center, 4945 Rosehill Rd. in Fayetteville.

This free event is hosted by the Healthy Start and Healthy Conversations programs and is open to men of all ages. Join us for free health screenings, wellness resources, and supportive conversations around physical and mental health. New and expecting fathers will find dedicated resources just for them.

The concept of healing is often misunderstood as an attempt to return to one's pre-traumatic state. However, true healing involves acknowledging and accepting the new self that has emerged from the experience. This entails recognizing that some days will be more difficult than others, a fact that must be accepted. Healing is not a competitive endeavor or a timed event.
