📣Calling All Artists!

The City of Fayetteville is now accepting applications from artists interested in designing a one-of-a-kind public art bench. Designs should be welcoming, family-friendly, and reflect the spirit of the Fayetteville community.

The selected artist will paint their design directly on the bench using weather-resistant materials suitable for outdoor display.

We’re excited to share that Doug Bates,President of CMIT Solutions of Atlanta Southern Crescent & Atlanta Northwest, dedicated board member, and long‑time community leader, is a contributing author in the new Amazon‑published book Maximizing Business Potential With AI. Coauthored with industry experts (including his son, Nathan!), the book helps business owners understand how to use AI safely and effectively for growth, cybersecurity, and resilience.

Doug’s career includes more than 20 years in global leadership roles with LEGO, GE Lighting, and Tyco before launching CMIT in 2009. Since then, he’s built a thriving, family‑run IT services company that supports small and midsize businesses across the Southern Crescent.

His passion for helping organizations navigate change with clarity and confidence shines through every chapter.
