🌡️ HEAT ADVISORY ALERT FOR PREGNANT MAMAS 🌡️
It’s hotter than a boiling pot of soup out there—and I’m not just being dramatic. Temps are high, humidity is thick, and we’re officially in “why do I live here?” season.

If you’re pregnant, this kind of weather isn’t just uncomfortable—it can absolutely mess with your body.

💦 Dehydration can trigger Braxton Hicks (those annoying "fake" contractions), and in some cases, real ones.
🚑 I've already had several clients and local mamas heading in to be checked due to cramping, contractions, or feeling faint.
🤰🏽 Your uterus is sensitive to heat stress. Dehydration lowers your blood volume, which can irritate your uterus and lead to a cascade of symptoms.

Here’s your reminder to:

Chug that water (yes, more than usual)

Stay in the shade or AC when possible

Add electrolytes if you're sweating (think coconut water or a pinch of salt + fruit juice)

Don’t push through symptoms—listen to your body

👩‍⚕️ If you’re having contractions that don’t go away with rest + hydration, or you're feeling off, call your provider. Better safe than sorry.

Stay cool, mama. This weather is no joke—and neither is your health. 🧊👣
