Our second weekend of Yoga Teacher Training brought so many aha moments. ✨

We dove into the Yoga Sutras and the practice of meditation, explored the first two Yamas, Ahimsa (non-harming) and Satya (truthfulness), and reflected on how these principles show up both on and off the mat.

In anatomy, we studied bones, joints, and connective tissue, building a deeper understanding of how the body supports every pose. Then our trainees stepped into the teacher’s seat, cueing, demonstrating, and guiding standing sequences with growing confidence.

✨ Instructor Spotlight: Emily Ruth ✨

Emily Ruth Perry found yoga in 2010 at a cancer support center in Pittsburgh, PA, and what began as a healing practice quickly became a lifelong journey. Over the years, she’s explored everything from Gentle Yoga to Power Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Yin, and so much in between.

Her teaching path began informally at a YMCA in a rural North Carolina community. After moving to Fayetteville, she found her home at Embrace Yoga Studio, completing her 200-hour YTT in 2017. She went on to teach both adult classes and children’s yoga at Bravery Kids Gym.

Outside the studio, Emily Ruth is a wife, a mom to two boys, and serves as the Director of Community Life at Veritas Church. Yoga continues to support her mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being, alongside her love of walking, running, and hiking.
