Hi, I'm Ginger, a Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Our Functional Wellness Clinic.

Like many of you, I've seen firsthand how frustrating it can be to feel stuck in the endless cycle of doctor visits, prescriptions, and still not feeling better. Whether you're managing chronic health issues or you’re someone who wants to take control of your health before problems arise, I'm here to help. At Our Functional Wellness Clinic, we take a different approach—one that treats you as a whole person, not just a list of symptoms. My goal is simple: to work with you to uncover the root causes of your health concerns and guide you toward real solutions that promote lasting wellness. No more masking symptoms with endless medications. Instead, we dive deep to understand what’s going on in your body and work together to bring about the change you deserve. I’ve been in healthcare since 2005, when I earned my Registered Nurse license. I spent fifteen years working in emergency medicine, which gave me a strong foundation in fast-paced, critical care. In 2020, I graduated with my Master’s degree and became certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. This experience has shaped my approach to healthcare, and it’s why I’m so passionate about giving my patients the comprehensive care they deserve. In my last clinic position, I was seeing patients every 10 to 15 minutes, which left little time to truly listen or address the root causes of their issues. That’s when I knew I had to make a change. Functional Medicine offers a much-needed shift in healthcare by focusing on getting to the heart of health problems rather than just covering up symptoms with more prescriptions. Functional Medicine is about helping every client reach their highest expression of optimal wellness. At Our Functional Wellness Clinic, we’ll spend a full hour during your first visit, and quarterly follow-ups will be 30 minutes. With this membership, you can be seen when you need to be seen. We will walk alongside you on your journey to better health every step of the way. Many chronic diseases can be reversed, and we’re committed to diving deep into your signs, symptoms, and “labeled diseases” to get to the root of the issue—so that you can finally feel better. I’ve caught life-saving conditions like cancer, sepsis, and heart attacks in my career, but my biggest accomplishment has been seeking certification in Functional Medicine. This approach allows me to provide the ultimate level of care for my clients, with a deep desire to listen, research, and partner with you on your journey to better health. What makes me most valuable as a practitioner are my years in emergency medicine, my deep desire to listen and partner with our clients, and my curiosity to research and find answers when I don’t have them right away. Functional Medicine gives us hope in truly making a difference for you. On a personal note, I’ve been married to my husband Larry for four wonderful years. Between us, we have one son, two daughters, two sons-in-law, and eight amazing grandkids. We live an active lifestyle, enjoying biking, hiking, and camping as often as we can. We are also deeply involved in our church and love being active in the community. Let’s get you back to living your life—vibrantly, fully, and free of the burdens holding you down.
