Currently, 1 in 10 children will be sexually abused by the age of 18!
🚫ONCE IS NOT ENOUGH🚫

✅ In efforts to prevent child sexual abuse, it is essential that parents have ongoing, age-appropriate conversations regards body safety.
✅ This includes everyday discussions on concepts related to body safety, consent, secrets and trusted adults.
✅ This includes teaching them correct anatomical body part names, modeling safe and healthy boundaries, emphasizing and supporting their control of their own bodies, identification of trusted adults, and the difference between secrets and surprises.
✅ It is through these continuous daily conversations with your kiddos that the formation of normalcy is generated regarding these vulnerable topics; while most importantly, promoting their safety as well.
✅ Silence perpetuates the cycle of abuse. It is our jobs to end it and begin the conversation - most especially of consent.
