IBCLC Day is when I really reflect on the place I've landed in my life. It doesn't even feel right to describe it as "the career path I chose". What I do is more than a job- helping families reach their feeding goals (no matter the goal!) is my passion. I learn something new every day and am forever grateful to all my clients who have trusted me to help them in a small part of their parenting journey.
Itβs only once a year, and today is it-π March 2, 2022 is IBCLC day π There are only 33,492 IBCLCs (International Board Certified Lactation Consultants) worldwide (as of 2021) π and those of us who are in private practice rely on referrals to keep our businesses chugging along. COVID has drastically affected most of our businesses when supporting new families and helping to feed babies is more important than ever before.β£
