Every relationship is as unique as a fingerprint. No two couples love in the same way or argue in the same way!

Every pair that walks into our office brings a different history, different wounds, and different ways of expressing love into the room, and those dynamics create pairing that is completely one of a kind. Thats why couples don’t need a ā€œformulaā€ for how to succeed, they need an adaptive counselor who learns each couples unique rhythm and shows them how they can work in sync.

You say yes when you want to say no, you over explain yourself, you find yourself always saying sorry, and you’re always trying to skirt around everyone else’s emotions. Sound familiar?

ā€œPeople pleasingā€ isn’t as simple as you wanting to be nice, it can come from a place of fear. Fear of conflict, fear of rejection, or fear of abandonment all lead to behaviors that put yourself last in the equation. Keeping the peace and appeasing others may be your way of feeling safe in relationships, but it can lead to resentments, burnout, and confusion around who you really are and what you really want. When you abandon yourself to keep others happy you slowly lose connection to who YOU are and what YOU need to be happy.

Let’s break those cycles together and learn that discomfort doesn’t equal danger, and that you will survive somebody being upset with youšŸ«¶šŸ¼

therapy is a place to explore these feels and move toward healing and growth. we want to feel our negative feelings but don’t want to sit in it for too long. the tools you will learn in therapy will help you cope better with those feelings in the future.
