This was a super fun and unique case to work on. This patient came to see Kendall for lip filler to help even out her upper lip after having cleft lip surgery many years ago. She wanted the upper lip to be more noticeable when she smiled and to have a natural looking result that blended with the rest of her face. She worried about the scar in and above her lip, and how the filler would affect it.
After assessing her face and discussing her concerns and desired results, Kendall suggested that we start with a lip flip. She had ALOT of muscle contraction around the mouth, especially around her scar. Kendall felt confident that we could achieve all she was wanting, but assured her we could always do some filler if it was needed.
When the patient returned, we were both ecstatic about her results: her lips remained the same at rest, but she gained a lot of upper lip show when smiling! This is apparent from how strong the muscle was before treatment compared to after.
