We are proud to share that our Parkinson’s program was included in a recent ABC news story highlighting the incredible work happening at the Joe Hand Boxing Gym! Seeing our class in action is a powerful reminder of the strength, determination, and community we’ve built together.

We’re so proud of everyone who shows up, works hard, and supports one another. If you have been absent from participation, see this as an opportunity to get started again. Exercise is medicine.

Thirty years ago, Mrs. Hand challenged Mr. Hand to give back to the community. He then started Joe Hand Boxing Gym and computer lab at Howard and Thompson streets. From there, they moved down to South Philly and back to North Philly to our present location in Feasterville. Many young kids walked in those doors, and many became champions. To this day, we still give back with classes for all people. This is half of our teen class. Mr. and Mrs. Hand are smiling down. Happy 30th, and we are not going anywhere because "The Best Is Yet To Come".

🌟 What an amazing day! 🌟

We were so grateful to be part of The Parkinson Council’s Annual- Walk to Stamp Out Parkinson’s this year at the Navy Yard. A huge thank-you to the organizers for letting the Joe Hand Gym have a presence at such a meaningful event! 💙

It was inspiring to see so many individuals, families, and supporters come together to raise awareness and funds for people living with Parkinson’s. Events like this remind us of the strength of community and the power of hope.

We’re honored to stand beside those making a difference—one step at a time! 👣💪

They even had face painting for the kids!!!

We’re proud to support the Parkinson’s community not only through our specialized therapy and exercise programs, but also by walking in this year’s -Walk to Stamp Out Parkinson’s on November 1st! 💪 The Parkinson Council is a wonderful organization dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by Parkinson’s disease.
