Dr. Manfredi returns to the office from maternity leave this week and is currently available for scheduling. Due to a serious family medical situation, however, her availability for evaluations will be somewhat limited. She continues to be available for virtual educational consultations with families and consultations with other professionals. With over 20 years of experience in the field of neurodevelopmental disabilities (15 of those as a neuropsychologist), Dr. Manfredi brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and expertise to understanding learning and development, particularly for those with special educational needs. While an evaluation can help provide the most comprehensive, individualized recommendations and guidance, consultations can offer families access to expert opinions and guidance at a fraction of the cost of a full evaluation. Consultations with families may include:
--Assistance with evaluating possible educational environments (e.g., public school, private or religious school, specialized private school, homeschool) and the services and supports available in each
--Developing strategies for inclusion, while also addressing the student’s unique needs
--Evaluating the effectiveness of specific supports or accommodations
--Setting up a plan for accommodations and modifications for homeschooling families
--Determining whether additional evaluations or support services are needed
--Making recommendations regarding transitions in educational settings, such as moving from early intervention to school-age services, moving from elementary to middle or middle to high school, and moving to college/postsecondary education or the workforce
--IEP/Evaluation reviews
Consultations with professionals/organizations may include:
--Records reviews for forensic/legal cases
--Case consultation (i.e., differential diagnosis, testing process, report writing)
--Trainings on topics related to learning, development, or neurodevelopmental conditions (see examples here)
--Program development/evaluation
To set up an appointment for consultation or an evaluation, please call our office at (215) 515-2388 and one of our office assistants will be happy to get you on her calendar. We also have several other highly-qualified and experienced psychologists on staff available to conduct evaluations.
