We were honored to welcome members of St. Luke’s Church Comfort Dog Ministry to our community today! Their visit—along with their sweet, gentle comfort dog "Sharon" —brought smiles, calm moments, and plenty of warm hearts.
From soft pets to quiet companionship, this furry visitor made a meaningful connection with our residents, reminding us how powerful simple presence and kindness can be. 🐶✨

These two are a perfect example of what made the evening so special: great company, lots of laughter, and residents bringing their A-game in both fashion and fun. This is an incredible program and Village Green was happy to donate the funds we raised with our Wreath and Tree Festival to such a worthy cause! Nearly 30 years ago, this article highlighted the Powell family’s legacy in Federal Way—a family that built its success on long-term thinking, integrity, and a deep commitment to community.

From early homebuilding roots in Federal Way, to developing Village Green, their focus was never just construction, but creating places where people could truly live well.

Multiple generations worked side by side, taking their reputation seriously and treating the business as a promise, not just a paycheck. A great reminder that doing things the right way tends to stand the test of time!
