Every week, Joseph takes Andy on a special outing: a trip to Walmart followed by lunch.

Sometimes a mistake turns into the best marketing strategy.

When we redesigned our 2026 business cards for AffordCare Home Care, I was excited about the fresh look and new branding, but I missed a small error before they went to print.

In the corporate world, something like that could easily cost you your job or a PIP.

At first, I thought it would cost our team thousands of dollars.

But something unexpected happened.

People started calling.

Not to complain, but to kindly let us know there was an error on the card. Complete strangers took the time to reach out because they genuinely wanted to help.

Those calls turned into conversations.

Conversations turned into discovery calls.

And discovery calls turned into leads and new clients.

Sometimes what looks like a mistake can actually create connection. People appreciate authenticity, and sometimes the imperfect moments open the door to real conversations.

Entrepreneurship has a funny way of turning “mistakes” into opportunities.

Lesson learned: double-check the design… but also be open to the unexpected outcomes.

Here’s a simple breakdown 👇

Home Health Care is clinical and medical care provided by licensed professionals such as registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists.

Services may include:

✔️ Monitoring medical conditions

Home Health Care is usually ordered by a physician and is often covered by Medicare or insurance for a limited time, typically after a hospitalization, surgery, or medical event.

Home Care focuses on non-medical support with daily living.

✔️ Medication reminders

Even better? The surveyor specifically complimented our files and documentation system. That means the world to us because at AffordCare, we take documentation and proper filing systems very seriously.
