Yoga isn’t just about what happens on the mat; it’s about the people who hold the space with kindness, consistency, and heart. Karen does this beautifully, and we’re so grateful for everything she’s shared and continues to cultivate in our community.
Join Karen Schwisow on Tuesdays at 10:45 am for Mindful Yoga.
"As an original co-founder of Three Trees Yoga & Healing Arts Center, I have been sharing the transformative practices of yoga and mindfulness since 2005. For over a decade, I have also trained aspiring teachers, helping them bring embodied presence, equanimity, and compassion into their own communities.
With a mindfulness practice rooted in the early 1990s, yoga became a transformative addition to my practice a decade later. My classes are a pause button for the chaos of daily life—inviting you to reconnect with your breath, your body, and the present moment. Known for my warmth, humor, and ability to make ancient wisdom feel relatable, I create a space where curiosity replaces judgment, and mindfulness becomes a tool for everyday living.
My teaching is informed by rich training experiences, including the Pacific Yoga Teacher Training, Therapeutic Yoga training through Subtle Yoga, and certification in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) through the Center for Mindfulness at UMass Medical School. My passion lies in blending time-honored traditions with practical tools to meet the demands of modern life."
