Some days in this line of work are heavier than others.

Today, I’m taking a moment to reflect on something I don’t say enough..every single client I’ve had the honor of caring for, whether for months or for years, has left a mark on my life. Each one has taught me something… about patience, strength, humor, resilience, and what it truly means to be human.

Today, I lost a client who I connected with right away. The kind of connection that reminds you why you do what you do. And on days like this, it’s not just a job—it’s personal.

To all of the clients I’ve cared for, past and present… I hope you know the impact you’ve had on me. The lessons, the memories, the moments…they stay with me long after the care ends.

This work isn’t always easy, but it is always meaningful. 🤍

Today I had one of those moments that reminds me exactly why I do what I do.

I sat on the edge of the bed with a 94-year-old woman as she began telling me about her life. She started with her very first day of kindergarten — even describing the exact clothes she was wearing. From there she walked me through elementary school, growing up, meeting her husband, and the stories of her parents and in-laws.

My time had technically been up, but I wasn’t in any hurry to leave. I just sat there and listened.

The details she remembered, the love she had for the life she’s lived, and the stories she carried with her were incredible. I found myself completely fascinated and honestly in awe.

Sometimes caregiving isn’t just about helping someone through their day. Sometimes it’s about slowing down long enough to hear a lifetime.

Moments like this are a gift, and I’m so grateful I get to experience them. 💙

I truly believe I was born to do this work. Caring for others isn’t just what I do — it’s who I am.

Loving what you do changes everything. And I’m beyond grateful that I get to do what I love every single day.

To every current and past clients and families— thank you for choosing me, trusting me, and allowing me the honor of caring for you and your loved ones. That trust is something I never take lightly.

And to my fellow caregivers — especially those who have stepped in, showed up, and supported me when I needed it most — thank you.

We carry the burdens of those we care for, shouldering their fears, their exhaustion, and their pain, all while offering a foundation of love and support. We mark every milestone, celebrate every victory, and choose compassion, even in the most trying of times.
Caregiving is more than a profession; it's a commitment to serve with love, patience, and dedication, even when the journey gets tough. It's about enduring with love, standing by through the unseen struggles ❤️.

Having taken that first step into caregiving has been a journey of growth and fulfillment, one that I'm grateful for. Securing my first client marked the beginning of a thriving practice, thanks to the support of the community, medical professionals, word-of-mouth referrals, hospitals, fellow caregivers, and loved ones.
Thank you to every family who have allowed me to care for their loved ones! Each of you hold special places in my 🩷

As the holidays arrive and families gather close, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you.

Thank you for trusting me to care for your loved ones. Being welcomed into your homes and lives is something I never take lightly. It is truly an honor to provide care, comfort, and support, and to be a small part of your family’s journey.

During this season of reflection and togetherness, I am reminded how meaningful the moments are that we share—both big and small. Your trust, kindness, and partnership mean more than words can express.

I wish you and your loved ones a holiday filled with peace, warmth, comfort, and cherished time together. May the coming year bring health, hope, and continued moments of connection.

There is a purpose for everyone you meet ❤️

Hospice care is a journey that guides patients and their families through the most difficult time with compassion, dignity, and support.

So thankful for all the wonderful hospice workers I have met and worked along side of, they have all thought me so much!

More thankful for each family who have allowed me in their homes to care for their loved one at the end of life ❤️
