Kindred Speech Therapy Providing individualized speech and language therapy for children and adults Kindred is a client-first and family focused speech and language therapy clinic.

We strive to provide exceptional speech and language therapy for children ages 2 and up. We specialize in articulation, phonological, and expressive and receptive language disorders. At Kindred Speech Therapy we work with caregivers to help your child make progress toward their speech and language goals. We are happy to offer speech and language services in our therapy space, located in Elyse's home, in Fenton, Michigan. We also offer teletherapy services when appropriate. Elyse is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She has worked in the public school setting for 5 years as well as the private practice setting for 2 years. Her work in multiple settings has allowed her to gain experience across diverse populations and disorders. She has experience working with children of all ages, but is most passionate about serving children from ages 2 through 10. Elyse is highly skilled in diagnosing and treating articulation and phonology disorders as well as expressive and receptive disorders. She is passionate about collaborating with parents and working with families to help children make progress in the therapy setting. Elyse received her bachelors and masters degrees from Central Michigan University. She is licensed through the state of Michigan and maintains a Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) through the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).

🧠Kids learn to communicate by:
👀 Watching your facial expressions
👂 Hearing how words are used
🗣️Practicing back-and-forth conversation

If a child spends a lot of time PASSIVELY watching TV, tablets, or phones, they miss out on those crucial learning moments.

✅What helps?
* Co-viewing and talking about what’s on the screen
* Setting time limits (AAP recommends 1 hour per day for ages 2 - 5)
* Prioritizing face-to-face play, books, and conversation
