Celebrating Our Centenarians at Delmar Gardens of Meramec Valley!

What an inspiring day! We gathered our residents who are 100 years young (and close to it!) to honor Centenarians Day — a beautiful celebration of long life, wisdom, and the stories that shaped a century.

Our remarkable residents shared memories and timeless words of wisdom that reminded us all how precious every chapter of life truly is.

Here’s to a lifetime of love and unforgettable stories as told by this beautiful generation ! 🥂

💗 Garden Villas North Think Pink Week! 💗

Our residents had an incredible time celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Week with a full lineup of pink-inspired fun, inspiration, and hope! Each day was filled with meaningful activities — from Breast Quest Crossword Puzzles and Awareness Bingo to Hopeful Butterfly Paintings and a cozy Pink Panther movie night.

We stayed active with “Put Your Breast Foot Forward” fitness classes and “Wii Have Hope” bowling, reminding everyone that strength and movement are part of healing. Our “Pretty in Pink” Happy Hour was simply pink-tastic, featuring pink cocktails, sweet treats, and uplifting moments with Author Brandie White, who shared her powerful story of courage and resilience. 💕

The week ended with a heartwarming Pink Parade, where residents, staff, and survivors joined together in a sea of pink — tutu’s, glitter fedoras, heart glasses, and all — to spread a message of love, awareness, and early detection. We also created our community mural, “Garden Villas North Has Hope,” symbolizing unity, support, and the strength that shines through every survivor. 🌸

Together, we celebrated life, lifted each other up, and shared one simple truth: Hope is powerful, and early detection saves lives! 💪🎀

Oktoberfest Fun at Delmar Gardens of Meramec Valley! 🍂🥨

Residents and guests raised their steins and spirits at our lively Oktoberfest celebration! From fresh pretzels to colorful balloon animals and fantastic tunes by The Fabulous Fedoras, there was laughter, dancing, and plenty of “Prost!” all around.

It was the perfect mix of fall fun, friendship, and festive cheer — Delmar Gardens style! 💙

🍻 Garden Villas Residents Enjoy a Festive Oktoberfest!

Prost to good food, great music, and even better company! Our recent Oktoberfest celebration was a night to remember — filled with the rich flavors of Germany and joyful spirit!

Residents sipped refreshing Oktoberfest beer during happy hour and dinner while the Waterloo German Band entertained with lively tunes and even a traditional Alpine horn! The crowd went wild when our talented staff joined in with an impromptu cowbell performance that had everyone cheering.

Dinner was a true feast: flavorful onion soup, German potato salad, hearty pot roast or crispy chicken schnitzel, sweet and sour cabbage, green beans, and potato pancakes — all topped off with decadent German chocolate cake.

A heartfelt thank-you to our amazing team for creating such a warm and festive evening. Until next year… Prost!

After 25 wonderful years of dedication, our Garden Villas of Lenexa family is wishing a happy retirement to Jim, our longtime Overnight Supervisor!

Before joining Delmar Gardens, Jim spent many years as a nurse—and his heart for caring never stopped. He’s loved sharing early-morning coffee and conversations with our residents, brightening their days before the sun was even up.

Now, just one week into retirement, Jim says he’s missing his morning chats… since his wife is still fast asleep!

We’ll miss his warmth, humor, and steady presence—but we’re thrilled for the adventures ahead as Jim and his wife begin their travels, starting with a trip to visit his brother in sunny Florida.

Congratulations, Jim! Your Delmar Gardens Family will miss you dearly, but we wish you endless joy in this next chapter!

We spent the day exploring the St. Louis Aquarium, marveling at colorful fish, graceful stingrays, and even a few friendly sharks! The smiles said it all — what a fin-tastic adventure shared with friends! 💙
