Today we were proud to present Angela Terrill from Absolute Hospice with our Heart of Caring Award. Heather Rinks shared the following words about Angela's heart of caring:

"Angela is amazing! All hospice nurses are amazing, but what stands out about Angela is she puts her patients and family members first even when it’s inconvenient. She has no problem switching her day around to accommodate needs not only of her patients but other nurses’ patients if needed. And she does it with a smile on her face. Her selfless goal is to make sure all patients and families are comfortable with the care they are receiving and that they are educated on end of life care and symptom management. Absolute hospice is so fortunate to have Angela as a member of their hospice team. She truly is the heart of caring."

As the winner of our Heart of Caring Award, Angela received a Heart of Caring glass heart, her name inscribed on our Heart of Caring Award plaque, and a $100 American Express gift card. Thank you, Angela, for your selfless and compassionate care. We are honored to present you with this award!

Today we were proud to present Kim Cox from The Medical Team Hospice with our Heart of Caring Award. Taylor Turner shared the following words about Kim's heart of caring:

"Kim is not only the director of our Flint Hospice branch, she also takes on a social work caseload. She fills many shoes on our Hospice team. She's the master of referrals and taking on immediate or last minute situations. She is all things caring, compassionate, and hard working. Always there to answer a call and make things happen. She is the reason I am pushing myself to become a Hospice RN. She is the face of Hospice for me and anyone who crosses her path is beyond lucky."
