The office of Dr. Gosser has permanently closed as of April 18, 2025.

If you need a records release packet, please email Mrs. Gosser at:

or you may request your records through your new provider.

Please note:
1. We cannot release records without a signed medical release form.
2. We cannot email patients their records.
3. If you are wanting a personal paper copy of your records there are fees- pursuant to Statute 191.227 - HB 351, which are explained in the records release packet.

Brian and I want to thank everyone for the overwhelming outpouring of messages: so many grateful stories and memories, touching words of encouragement and support, and all the love and prayers. It has brought many tears to our eyes (and our children’s eyes) to read how Dr. Gosser impacted so many lives over the years. It is truly amazing to read your comments on how God has used him to heal women and to help bring life into this world. I thank you for allowing him to be a part of your life. Please continue to keep us in your prayers as we keep you in ours.

Dear Patients, due to health concerns, that are requiring me to take an extended medical leave of absence from being able to provide care for my patients, I have had to make the extremely hard decision to close my practice, St. Joseph Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Thank you for trusting myself and my office staff with your care. It has been a joy to know each of you and to serve you over the last 26 plus years.

The office will remain open until Friday, April 18, 2025 for patient assistance.

A letter will be coming in the mail to my current patients with more information on physician referrals and how to transfer your records to another physician.

Dear Patients, this is Dr. Gosser’s wife. I have been asked to address the many rumors that we have heard flying around today about my husband.

Yes, my husband is on an extended medical leave.
The rumors that he has closed his practice, are just that…rumors.

In his absence, we have Lauren, our wonderful midwife, Dr. McDonald, an amazing friend and colleague of Dr. Gosser and 4 other doctors who have offered to see Dr. Gosser’s patients while he is not able to.

For those patients who do not need to be seen quickly, we are asking them to move to the summer months.

For those pregnant patients, we are asking them to reach out to one of the providers on our list. These are all providers that Dr. Gosser recommends. Because these doctors also have patients of their own, in some cases our midwife will be seeing some patients to give the other doctors some breathing room.

If Dr. Gosser were to close his practice, his patients would receive a LETTER in the mail, not finding out from
rumors on Facebook. He has loved all of his patients and would not do this to his patients.

I ask you to please respect his own medical privacy, and rumors about why he is on medical leave, just as he has respected thousands of women’s privacy over the last 24 years. He has been very kind and generous to all of his patients - honoring their wishes and their privacy and we would ask that you would respect his privacy and pray for him and our family.
