PioneerCare officially broke ground on May 6, 2026, on a major new community initiative to expand access to high-quality, affordable child care in Fergus Falls. Through a broad partnership with Fergus Falls Area Habitat for Humanity, community leaders, businesses, foundations, faith partners, and local donors, the project will help bring up to 70 new child care slots to the region over the next three years. Fergus Falls is short nearly 400 child care slots...today is the start of one community-built solution. Six neighborhood-style pods are being built to accommodate 60-70 kids.
