Day 8 of the Iyengar Yoga 30 day experience. . This variation with the wall and the block and the toes lifted will help with Diastasis Recti where the abdominal muscles can pull apart during pregnancy. They knit together in this variation. Make sure you Lift the toes. In addition another variation hold the ropes -it is helpful to hold the spine erect and drop tailbone down to descend the tailbone and lengthen lumbar. Day 5 of the Iyengar Yoga 30 day experience. Parivtta Trikonasana, revolved triangle. When I first started practicing this pose, I could not get the proper extension of the trunk and the ribs to revolve because of my tight hips. Day 5 or the IYNAUS 30 day Iyengar Yoga Challenge Parivrtta Trikonasana, revolved triangle pose. When I was first trying this pose I could not revolve the trunk properly to feel the effect of the spine. My outer hips were so tight. So I started using a corner to help revolve. Start by Facing the wall and place the front foot beyond the corner. Then as you extent over front foot, use the lower hand on wall to lengthen the side ribs. Slide hand down to floor to complete. .amelia

For my student in class today, talking about this is 8 years of progress. I’ll tell you that the first picture was not easy to hold. I was stiff, unhappy and my back and shoulders hurt. This is what happens when we practice.

The first Iyengar Yoga Studio in North Florida

Lisa Waas, Owner of IYNFL began with a vision to provide Iyengar Yoga to the North Florida area in 2011. After modest beginnings in a 365 SF studio, IYNFL moved into the new Community Yoga + Wellness building at 210 Beech Street in 2018. Complete with a 12 station rope wall, stage, trestles, benches and all the Iyengar Yoga props ever desired. Lisa is now an Intermediate Junior 1 CIYT and a Certified Yoga Therapist. She teaches over 13 classes a week from beginner, gentle, intermediate and advanced.
