Make sure to access any of these portals that your MAC offers as it will help you avoid the most common reason for ADR denial which is always "Auto Denial — Requested Records Not Submitted."

In Home Health, our clinicians should have the ability to evaluate and treat a patient, one at a time, in their home. Clinicians, also, must be able to identify the focus of care, as frequently, the reason for the referral does not match the presentation of the patient. If you are allowing your back office to lead in determining the focus of care, it will negatively affect your compliance to the POC.

We, at K&K, are not nay-sayers, of Artificial Intelligence. We believe implementation by Home Health agencies should be a very cautious. Primary emphasis should always be compliance above all. There is currently no AI available that replaces human oversight of OASIS E1 documentation or coding.
