Made it through my 5 day water fast!

I had my moments of hunger and worked my way through with water and distractions like laundry and food prep for coming off the fast

What you put in your body right after your fast is as important as the fast. I'm a big proponent of Dr. Mindy Pelz and her suggestions.

Follow for updates as I continue my journey of intermittent fasting. I am also going to work on closing my daily fasting to 18 hours water fast and 6 hour eating window.

Time to resume my Meatless Monday,

No recipe today. I'm fasting, but I am planning for re-entry. After a long fast it is really important to consider what to eat. You shouldn't just go all in on your old diet. Feeding your gut biome the right things after a fast can be healing to the entire digestive process and body overall.

I'm easing back into food with lots of vegetables, fermented food like sauerkraut and sourdough, and bone broth.

Stay tuned for a Day 5 post about my fast and Day 6 when I come off my fast.

Have you ever fasted? I decided that I needed a good detox and a digestive system reset.

I have done juice cleanses, the Master Cleanse/Detox Lemonade , and shorter water fasts.

This time I noticed the evenings are the worst. that's when my hunger sets in. So, when it happens I drink more water and find something to do in the house or I make tea.

Let me know if you ever fasted and what helped you keep from breaking your fast prematurely šŸ’«šŸ’«

Consistency is the key to success. Perfection is not possible and will keep you procrastinating.

Just do the thing, post the post, write the book, take the class, whatever "it" is- just do it.

Honestly, people will judge you no matter what. Let go of your attachment to the outcome or feedback.

Rich baby! I'm calling in abundance!

2026 is the year of the horse, not just a horse, but the fire horse. It's also a 10 year in numerology. Don't discount the "0" in a 10 year.

2025 was the year of the snake. Transformation, releasing and shedding the old were the tasks, so if friendships ended, jobs ended, you went through a change you can rest assured that the fire horse energy is here to propel you forward- possibly at warp speed .

Rest is ok! Let's normalize it!

We live in "hustle" culture. People are always talking about go, go, go, and do. You don't have to be in productivity mode from the time you get up to the time you go to bed.

I'm here to tell you you are killing yourself slowly. Go outside and sit in the sun for 15 minutes. Sit in silence for 15 minutes. Connect with nature everyday. Put your bare feet on the ground. Huh a tree. Look out the window at the blue sky for 10 minutes. Your nervous system will love you for it.

Take time to rest everyday. Do something fun.Dance like you did as a child, as if no one is watching. Do something relaxing.

30 Day AB Challenge: Day 19

Pilates 100's always remind me how much breath shapes strength. Two sets gave me that deep, warm core activation. A plank helped everything integrate. Child's pose, cat cow, gentle shoulder rolls and a little neck release was exactly what my body needed after holding steady through the work.

And yes, the cats stopped by again for emotional support !

Strength isn't just activation. It's the softening that follows!
