Following lip filler injections💋
-the initial response involves acute inflammation triggered by tissue trauma
➡️This results in swelling and bruising, typically peaking within the first 48 hours.

-Swelling occurs as the body sends immune cells to the site to repair the tissue damage and remove any foreign material
➡️Bruising peaks around the same time due to damaged blood vessels leaking blood into the surrounding tissue.

➡️Over the next week, swelling gradually decreases as the inflammatory response subsides and the body starts to break down and metabolize the filler material.
-Similarly, bruising begins to fade as the body clears away the leaked blood.

➡️By the end of the second week, swelling and bruising should have significantly diminished, and the injected filler material should have settled into place, this will give you an idea of your final result.

🤕Complete healing may take six weeks, but visible signs of swelling and bruising should be minimal or absent by this time.

Although it’s hard to do. Give it the full two weeks before you LOVE them or HATE them. They could change a lot in that time. ⏳

I’ve promised at least 5 people this post. Sorry it took me so long to deliver. 🫣🥴

Retinoids and hydroquinone are not recommended during pregnancy due to potential risks to the developing fetus, including possible birth defects and complications.

Salicylic acid is generally avoided during pregnancy primarily due to concerns that high doses, especially in oral form, can cause complications and birth defects similar to those seen with aspirin, which is chemically similar. Topical application might pose less risk, but caution is still advised and it’s best to consult with a healthcare provider.

AHAs, azaleic acid, kojic acid and vitamin c are good replacements as well as great additions to anyone’s skincare regimen.

Skincare consistency is key to seeing results 🔑

This patient wanted to address pigmentation from sun damage ☀️ and old breakouts.

So we created a custom regimen for her to address these concerns.
- we added Even Tone for pigment correction and inhibition
- Trio moisturizer
- Bio Repeel 2 treatments so far
