Congratulations to Team Tigers, Boombox’s 7-11 year old Youth Muay Thai Team! Everyone’s an amazing job this week leveling up to their yellow arm bands, showcasing the many Thai Boxing skills and drills they’ve been working on over the last several months. Coach Lee and Coach Kurt are proud of you guys, Tigers! Keep going! 🐯🐅

Congratulations to all the great kids from our Activate: Youth Martial Arts & Fitness program on their successful belt test and performance evaluations at BMBXMMA! These great kids have been working hard, practicing Muay Thai fundamentals and core fitness exercises for the last few months, and boy did it pay off. Everyone did an amazing job, and Coach Kurt and Coach Lee were super proud of everyone’s efforts and dedication. Keep going, kiddos!

Congratulations to everyone from the Submission Grappling end of Team Cortex for their outstanding showing at Detroit yesterday! For most of our competitors, this was their first competition, and they did great, and represented their team and in a way that we are all proud of. Everyone competed in both Gi and NoGi, and everyone had between 5 and 10 matches throughout the day. Two golds, two silvers, a fourth place showing, and just all around great effort. Lots of wins, lots of lessons learned, and a great showing of support and respect for one another, and the other teams present. That’s what’s most important. Respect. Respect for yourself, your teammates, your coaches, your competition, the event, and the sport/art itself. Again, tons to be proud of. Onto the next one!

Shout out to John () for his excellent debut performance at .us last night! It was a slugfest, and while we all thought the decision should have gone his way, what mattered most was his heart, courage, and spirit on display from beginning to end. He perfectly embodied the respect that Muay Thai deserves, as well as the pure joy that makes it all worth doing. Both he and his opponent gave over 100%, and you couldn’t find two guys more excited for one another in the ring. It was quite a show, and one of the best bouts of the night. Keep going!
