So, on Thursday, I tore my cartilage in my ribs.
Due to increasing hypermobility, a simple leg press dislocated my bottom ribs and tore the tissue.
😮‍💨
But-everything is a teaching moment! And since the hospital literally tells you nothing and this is the 2nd time I've torn my cartilage, I figured it would be a good time to walk you through this.

1. Ice for 72 hours-while inflammation is necessary for healing, this region pushes on yhe diaphragm and liver so we want to mitigate too much inflammation

2. Heat after 72 hours for blood flow and muscle relief-serratus anterior is sad right now 😪 Use heat for getting asked much circulation to the area as possible

3. Use infrared on the area like with our .us or infrared sleeping bag

4.Use muscle rubs, cbd, or pain relief ointments daily to calm the nervous system

5. Use compression wraps, or braces to stabilize during healing

Start massage in region about 7-10 days after injury occurs from an experienced injury rehabilitation professional!
