I have been honing my skills my whole life (as have you!!). All the influences have come together to create my unique perspective–my patchwork quilt–and approach to healing. In 2007, I went back to school after 2 years off and began taking Pre-Med classes at the local community college to become an anesthesiologist–putting people to sleep. In the same breath I became fascinated with the idea that

I could be a body piercer. After a year, I moved to Indianapolis and began talks with a piercer there about apprenticeship. After 9 months of talks, all seemed well, so I gave him $2000 for discussed training never to hear from the man again. I no longer felt the pull for modern medicine but continued taking classes in Exercise Science, but I held my vision strong for body modification and learned about Fakir Musafar and his Body Piercing Intensives in San Francisco. In January of 2011, I flew to California for a week of pure magic and bliss. I was able to do things I didn't realize I could, and I walked away with an awakening of shamanic energy work. I moved to Columbus, OH that fall and began working as a shop manager on Sundays at a tattoo and piercing studio with the promise of apprenticeship on the horizon. God had different plans for me and in 2012 I realized what that was. My mission is to help people wake up, not go to sleep (as anesthesiology would have done)! Thus began my search for the meaning of life and a tribe that understood my experiences. I have increasingly found friends, helpful tools, thoughts, belief systems, sacred natural, earth-blessed medicines, teachers and inner wisdom to help myself overcome depression, alcoholism, addiction to to***co and cannabis, as well as modify behavior and thought patterns that didn't serve me. My teachers have guided me well and I am confident working with the medicines (plants, energy attunements, sacred tools, songs, etc.) My influences include Shipibo, Lakota, Huichol, Bushman, Samurai, Shakers and Quakers, among others. The biggest change is when I stopped doubting myself and just started doing what I knew I could do all along–help people. I have held a number of ceremonies with close friends and then also with new acquaintances (and dare I say new friends!)
and have received very good feedback. I consistently put that feedback to work to see what holds water and resonates with me. Most importantly, I "Let Go and Let God." I am constantly learning and striving to be better in mind, body and soul and I thank you for allowing me to help you. I love you all! I'm so honored to walk on this Earth with you.

Self Care is Sacred

Self Care is Sacred

🌞🌞🌞
♌️♌️♌️

Shine forth. Into rooms that don’t want you. Into spaces that don’t register, accept or understand you.

Shine on. Because you know in your bones that you don’t need any person or institution’s permission to exist. Nature gave you all the permission you’d ever need the minute you arrived. You screamed, shuddered, reached out for comfort and Nature answered, “My Child.”

Shine courageously. As hearts are made to do. Love doesn’t asked to be loved back. It just arrives. Exists always. How long we resist its infectious openness is up to us, but it relentlessly survives as one of the great mysteries.

Shine magnanimously. Like the sun. Because that’s its job. That is what it is there to do. Life-giving goodness radiates from it. The sun shines on all of us no matter if we deserve its warmth or not. The sun doesn’t wait for permission to shine, nor does it wait for what we call the morning.

Shine regally. Like the royalty we are. Serving the public with honor and integrity. Giving the best of what we have to the guests that grace us. Roaring loudest for the unsung heroes. Pointing scepters towards what needs our immediate attention.

Shine proudly. Because we are the sum total of our actions and we don’t take actions unless we are proud of them. But if we do take actions against good, we self-correct instantly. We don’t have to be perfect to be proud. We just have to be accountable.

We are here to shine. Forth. On. Courageously. Magnanimously. Regally. Proudly. Brilliantly. We are creative beings. We recreate ourselves each morning. We have the choice to commit to ourselves each time we wake up. We are given the opportunity to rediscover our purpose each time the sun rises.

Leo teaches us these lessons.

Like the lion, Leo exudes a power, a presence and a pride in itself that is attractive, endearing and demands our attention. Leo is ruled by the sun. The sun is our main source of power. In astrology it is our soul’s purpose, our reason for incarnating. Through the sun we illuminate our life lesson in a specific style. When the sun is in Leo it travels through the part of our chart that the sun rules. This means that whatever house Leo lands in in your natal chart, is the house that you must learn to work with. It’s also a place that, when mastered, can help you feel vital, alive and full of joy.

The new moon in Leo, arriving on Tuesday, August 2nd at 1:44 PM, is asking us to rededicate ourselves to our reason for coming to this planet in the first place. It’s asking us to polish off the tarnished vessel we walk around in and remember how to shine. The closest aspect it makes is a trine to Saturn. Saturn is stationing direct a week and a half after the new moon. Any planet that is stationing retrograde or direct demands our attention. Saturn teaches us about our boundaries, our responsibilities, our authority, our need to show up again and again and again in order to master what it is we came here to master. Saturn sets things in stone. It makes them real. It refuses to deny or negate its duties.

Mars re-enters Sagittarius on the same day as the new moon. It was in Sagittarius earlier this year in March, April and May and stationed retrograde there on April 17th. Mars retrograde has revealed much about our relationship to anger, violence, war, aggression and aggravation. The entire world can at times seem to be in a tailspin of terror. It’s a common election tactic, but this season it has become extremely extreme. Anger is what we can often feel when we are unable to address our fear. It’s easier. Feels more powerful. Feels more potent. Anger is important, but mean-spirited violence is not. Anger can motivate us to stand up for our rights but it can also distort our sense of self-importance and fuel campaigns of hate and cowardice. Our anger, if left unconscious, will always be used to manipulate and control us.

This is no time to live unconsciously through. It’s a time to become courageously, even covertly, creative and unshakable in our truth. Leo energy can become wildly egomaniacal and narcissistic when distorted. There are no shortages of narcissistic antics on display right now. They love attention. They abhor being irrelevant. Let us put our energy towards what we want to build and give the raging bullies less of our precious, creative, life-energy.

May this new moon radiate the warmth we need, thawing any part of our humanity still frozen, frightened or locked in fear. May this season warm the seeds of our potential, awaken our intelligence and activate our evolution.

New moon blessings,

xc

So I have 3 different types of rapé on their way from Brasilía, Brazil!!
My source is in Brazil and gets the medicine directly from the tribes!

Kaxinawa, Kuntanawa, Yawanawa.

I will have 3 different sizes for sale. All will be in amber glass bottles.

10mL, 15mL and 30mL; $20, $30, and $50, respectively.

The Kaxinawá's or Huni kuin – meaning true humans - are considered to be one of the biggest tribes in Acre, as they account for 42% of the indigenous population. They belongs to the Pano linguistic tribes that habitat the Peruvian and Brazilian Amazon. Moreover, their leader is a respected shaman that vigorously stands up for his tribe in public and through organizations: he founded the União das Naçoes Indigenas (UNI/AC) and ASKARJ, and he is a cofounder of the Alliance of Forest Peoples and of the International Council on Human Rights (IACHR). These organizations are speaking for the rights of the indigenous communities, as well as for human rights and the protection of the rainforest.
Rapé in the Kaxinawá tribe is used for different purposes, such as the relief of physical pain and headaches, cleaning of the sinuses and alleviating snuffles. In addition, the Kaxinawá apply Rapé for mental healing, mostly in combination with chanting. Rapé connects the tribe with spirits of the jungle and - depending on the exact ingredients - it can cure, heighten concentration, improve hunting, or be a connector with the spiritual nature.

Like the Nukini, the Kuntanawa tribe became almost extinct due to the massacres of the latex cycle. One single family was left after the rubber boom and only since the beginning in 2000 a small group of Kuntanawa started to claim their indigenous heritage. Unfortunately, their culture is still under threat and the Kuntanawa are still struggling to regain full ethnic recognition and they are trying to regain their territory.
Nowadays, there are only about 250 members left that are scattered throughout the region of Acre, Brazil. In order to survive, the Kuntanawa are joining other Pano linguistic tribes and they are organizing festivals together to share their traditions, their rituals, and their culture with foreign visitors.
This small Pano linguistic tribe strongly values the ritualistic use of Ayahuasca to teach them and to guide them. The Kuntanwa even hold a strong believe that Ayahuasca will unravel their ancient knowledge and bring back their partly lost traditions. However, their language seems to be irrecoverably lost.

The Yawanawá, or the tribe of the white-lipped peccary, are a small tribe of 1,300 people, living remotely in only a few villages along the Gregório River. They are known as warriors, as they always keep on fighting, even in hard times. At some point in history their tribe was almost extinct, with only about 300 members left. Nowadays their tribe has grown again, and their traditions and knowledge have been conserved in a very strict way.
The Yawanawá were the first tribe that initiated a woman to become a shaman, setting a huge example in the history of shamans. In their language rapé is called Rume and the Yawanawá preferably blend Rume with Tsunu ashes and mapacho, which gives this special blend a very refined taste. In addition, Tsunu is used for healing purposes and has a supportive role during ayahuasca ceremonies.

TUT :: Home

If you can imagine it, you can have it, friends. This is the name of the game. This is the lesson to learn. It couldn't be any easier. Reality is not what your eyes show your mind, but what your mind creates for your eyes to see. You are not limited by logic, the past, or the world around you. You are not of the world around you. You are supernatural, pure spirit.

You came first. Magic, miracles, and luck are the consequences of understanding this, the inevitable result of dreaming and acting in spite of appearances.

You are ever so close. Simply stay the course. It won't be very much longer.

Soul-Power,
The Universe

P.S. If you can imagine it, you can have it, folks.

TUT’s mission is to remind others of life’s fundamental truths: that life is magical, we are powerful, and dreams really do come true.

“Love is that condition in the human spirit so profound that it empowers us to develop courage; to trust that courage and build bridges with it; to trust those bridges and cross over them so we can attempt to reach each other.”–Maya Angelou

So I thought I would be going out of town this weekend, but circumstances have led me to stay around. (New meow meow friend!!)

I wasn't originally planning on holding New Moon Ceremony due to the original thought that I would be in Indianapolis, but now, I can.

New Moon is on Monday and I know people will probably be pretty busy this holiday weekend.... but I will be around Saturday, Sunday, Monday for folks that would like to drink Cacao in Ceremony!
