There’s no scientific evidence that cats see spirits, but many traditions attribute supernatural perception to them.

• Ancient Egypt:
Cats were sacred to Bastet, the goddess of protection. People believed cats could sense unseen energies and guard the household spiritually.

Nobody is above us, and nobody is below us.
We are each simply in different places on our spiritual journeys. I’ve had the honor of learning from amazing teachers with decades of experience and profound wisdom—yet there are moments when I see things they don’t. I learn from my clients, my friends, and even strangers. In this life, we are all students, and we are all teachers.

Part of the spiritual journey is facing our shadows and owning where we fall short.
It also invites us to allow others to be human—to have fears, triggers, and tender places. If we’re still in human form, we’re still learning. And if we’re on a spiritual path, we’re constantly adjusting the ego, the way a queen gently adjusts her crown.

Carl Jung wrote, “The first half of life is devoted to forming a healthy ego; the second half is going inward and letting go of it.”
The work is learning to release the ego without diminishing our self-esteem. A constant practice… but a deeply worthwhile one.
