You're invited!! Please join us for our upcoming 45th Anniversary Celebration and Annual Stakeholder Meeting on Wednesday, September 24 @ Pioneer Pavilion in Ferndale!! We'll be serving pie and ice cream, reflecting on the last 45 years, and planning ahead for our future!

We are also looking for volunteers for the event! Volunteers will get to know more about our company and will enjoy free pie!

We're so excited for the CBC Splash Bash on September 19th at 2:00pm! The Community Boating Center - Bellingham has a mission of fostering safe small-boat recreation on Bellingham Bay.

This year's Splash Bash will feature a adaptive boating and all abilities are welcome!! There will also be pizza and potluck, boatyard games, open boating and arts and crafts!!

Our Vocational Services program supports people in so many ways, even beyond finding and maintaining employment. We also provide a service called "Community Inclusion" that ensures that everyone has meaningful ways to participate in their communities.

Recently, Julie attended a crafting circle at the Blaine Senior Center. While everyone works on their own projects, they enjoy visiting, drinking coffee and tea, and occasionally sharing snacks.

We are already missing the The Northwest Washington Fair! Several people from our residential programs attended the Rascal Rodeo earlier this month and they had an awesome time!

Our Vocational Services Department recently hosted the first of what they hope will become a quarterly celebration, called "Neighbor Night". The event is intended to honor employers who are currently working with Cascade Connections' customers as well as introduce our vocational program to prospective employers.

Neighbor Night was held in the Cordata neighborhood, just down the street from our Vocational Services office. We provided a brief overview of our programs, pizza, raffle items and an opportunity to connect with our staff and fellow employers. Overall the night was a success and we're already planning our next event!

Folks in our residential departments have been having the time of their lives this summer! We've had epic cook-outs, days at the beach where we soaked up the sun, fun times at Downtown Sounds, and even quiet moments of reflection, appreciating the little things in life - looking at you Kevin! 🐌

We hope you've had just as many opportunities to enjoy the big and small joys of the summer season, whether that's trying new ice cream flavors, taking a road trip to the mountains, or simply enjoying a cold drink on a hot afternoon. Whatever your summer has looked like, we hope it's been filled with laughter, adventure, and making memories with the people you love.

Over the years, partnering with Haggen has helped Cascade Connections fulfill our mission in so many ways - thank you Haggen!

Funds from this year's "Inspiring Change Together Campaign" will allow our Home Care Program to support seniors and individuals with disabilities to participate actively in their communities!

Randy and Alex, from Bellingham Supported Living, recently had an unforgettable camping adventure at beautiful Larrabee State Park. Alex especially loved setting up their tent, carefully staking it into the ground and securing the rain fly. Randy relaxed on the rocks and enjoyed the breathtaking views. Afterward they gathered around the crackling campfire to roast marshmallows to perfection and enjoy the classic camping treat - s'mores!

It was a truly magical experience for both Randy and Alex - they are already looking forward to their next camping trip!
