✨🦷DK Dental & Dentures is looking for a motivated individual to add to our dental family!!🦷✨
We have two well-established, growing offices in Clinton Township and Ferndale in need of a dependable, detail oriented assistant. Our offices are open Monday/Wednesday in Clinton Township and Tuesday/Thursday in Ferndale, with our owner dentist and two hygienists.

General responsibilities include chairside assisting of the doctor(s) on numerous procedures. Procedures involve fillings, crown preps, Invisalign, and oral surgeries (surgical extractions, bone grafting, implant placement, etc.). Setup, cleaning, sterilization of operatories and instruments requires an assistant to be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, while being courteous and keeping a positive attitude towards patients, coworkers, and the public. Applicants must have a willingness to go above and beyond basic responsibilities of the job and enjoy new challenges!

Some clinical experience is preferred, however, we are willing to train the right person. Salary based on experience with potential to grow as you do.

Our offices are open Monday/Wednesday in Clinton Township and Tuesday/Thursday in Ferndale, with our owner dentist, associate dentist, and two hygienists.

Duties and responsibilities

* Monitor the day to day work flow of the dental assistants to ensure excellent patient care and efficiency during the workday.
* Maintain smooth work flow between dentists, assistants, and patients.
* Monitor usage of inventory and develop supply orders/lists.
* Train new dental assistants on office protocol, dentists preferences, usage of handpieces, instruments and other small and large equipment used by assistants on a daily basis.
* In addition to these job functions, Lead Dental Assistant will also perform regular dental assisting job functions and duties. General responsibilities include chairside assisting of the doctor(s) on numerous procedures. Procedures involve fillings, crown preps, Invisalign, and oral surgeries (surgical extractions, bone grafting, implant placement, etc.).
* Invisalign experience (preferred)
* Previous assisting experience (preferred, but not necessary)

Did you know February is National Kids Dental Health month!? This month especially we promote children’s dental health awareness! Tooth decay is the most common chronic childhood disease. Teaching heathy habits early will ensure a lifetime of healthy smiles. Here are some of our favorite healthy smile tips for kiddos:
🦷 Brush 2x a day, for 2 minutes each time using a Fluoride toothpaste
🦷 Use a fluoride anti-cavity mouth rinse
🦷 Practice flossing, with supervision, using Children’s floss
🦷 Visit the dentist office for a tooth checkup by age 1
🦷Sealants, applied on growing adult teeth
🦷 Water only, after brushing at night. Don’t go to bed with juice, milk, etc

✨New year, new Invisalign smile transformation!✨
This patient started with severe misalignment on both arches, deep bite, multiple cross bites... Tooth misalignment is very common and can be easily treated using orthodontics like Invisalign! This case was corrected using Invisalign Assist clear aligners! Attachments and IPR were done by Dr. Dima Khalife to bring this smile to life!
Results like these TAKE TIME. This case took just over two years to complete, but look at the difference this has made to our patients smile!

Our offices are open Monday/Wednesday in Clinton Township and Tuesday/Thursday in Ferndale, with our owner dentist, associate dentist, and hygienists. We provide a wide range of services from General Dentistry, Periodontal Services, Venus White Max, Oral Surgery, Endodontics, Invisalign, etc.

Duties and responsibilities
* patient screening procedures; such as assessment of oral health conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, periodontal charting
* Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
* taking digital X-rays (Dexis software)
* removing calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surfaces of the teeth
* applying preventive materials to the teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides)
* teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)
* Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
* Monitor supplies

Requirements
*Associates Degree
*Dental Hygienist License
