What happens when things turn out differently than you thought they would or wanted them to? The ego often wants to place blame, to feel bad, maybe ashamed, angry or sad. And yes, all our feelings are valid and need to be honored. So after reassuring our inner child that everything is ok, that we aren’t bad, wrong or a failure, what if we decide this unexpected outcome can be approved of as an opportunity to change direction, to try something else, to learn and grow? What if instead something new can grow and bloom in its place? Something even better?! Love you people 💚✨

Sometimes I have reoccurring thoughts and mirroring dreams that I intellectually understand as fears… I used to journal about them to get them out of my head and give them shape somewhere else… and the next level, a dear friend reminded me, is to release. You can release energy in the elements: fire, water, air, earth. Fire is the quickest and most dramatic. If you have swirling thoughts, process them through writing, burn them in your little cauldron… you are in charge of your mind and your transformation! Love you people 🧡✨💫

Kids are back to school this week… and I’m reminded of being a student myself. I started taking yoga classes with Libby Robold at NMC 30 years ago this month… because I had mononucleosis for three months, lost 30 lbs, and spent the whole summer in and out of consciousness lying on my mother’s couch. My small town doctor, Dr. Lawrence, suggested yoga and supplements. What a blessing all of this was… moving your body is not only good for your physical self, but your energy body. Your energy body is your bridge between the spiritual and the physical. Your emotions affect and are the signal that lets you know how the energy body is doing. If there is stuck energy due to trauma, stress, negative thoughts or behavior patterns, ancestral trauma, past life trauma, etc. The energy body and our physical bodies carry this. Moving our bodies helps move it out of our physicality… working with a shamanic practitioner helps you move these blockages, tears, voids… out of your energy body. I have all my grandma’s canning jars out on the table… I sent this pic to a dear friend… he said “What do you want to put in them?” It took me off gaurd and made me emotional… my grandma’s passing really was the ending of my childhood on the farm where I felt a deep sense of belonging. I feel for the first time in a long time a sense of a real and deep beginning of meaningful work and relationships… can you put that in a jar? I think you can… I believe you can…

I was unpacking dishes yesterday and found this. The plate came all the way from Ireland… when I was there in 2019, I fell in love with the dishes at the manor house where we stayed during our transformational Divine Feminine tour of Western Ireland with Mara Freeman. I learned so much there about my ancestral energy and how to use it in my healing work.
