Some of our puppies over the years. We have been so blessed by all of the friendships we've gained, and the wonderful experiences our children have had learning responsibility, tenderness, patience, setting goals, managing chore time, and so much more. If you received a sweet pup from us, it's because of the quality time our family puts into them. They are our babies first, and will be our babies for their entire lives. With each puppy goes a bit of our hearts. This is why we refuse to sell our pups to pet stores, or join with a third party, because we need to know where our pups go to. They are our legacy.
Thank you to everyone who has made an impact on our lives by the love you've so selflessly given to our little sweeties. ❤️
Enjoy the memories. Of course there are so many more, 13 years adds up, but we will start with these. 🥰

Thank you for viewing our site on Facebook. My husband, Aaron (everyone calls him Opie) and I (Carrie) live on a small farm just outside of Fessenden, ND, in Wells County. We have six children who range in age from 28 to 10, and have recently been blessed with three precious grandbabies.

We have been raising purebred Miniature Dachshunds since 2013. Our pups are of varying colors. We can get dapples, piebalds, black/tan, or chocolate/tan, Creams, and now reds. We do have Isabella color in our bloodlines, but getting this color is rare for us. We have also had a few longhair pups. They are so cute! We require a non-refundable deposit to reserve a pup, and the remainder is due at the time of pickup, at our farm near Fessenden. Puppies will not be release earlier than 8 weeks old. Please plan accordingly.

Puppies are vaccinated and dewormed, and have a veterinarian examination, health record and report card completed at 6 weeks old. A puppy folder with a pedigree, health records and report card, other info, etc. will be provided with each puppy, along with some other goodies. All litters are registered APRI and some are dual registered APRI and AKC.

Puppies are under a spay and neuter contract, please be advised, and are sold as PET ONLY. (A copy of our contract can be emailed or faxed, per request.)

If you've contacted me about puppies, please be very transparent with me if you would like one or not. And, please don't ghost me! I feel really bad if I'm not sure about your intentions, and let a pup go thinking I'm just being ghosted again, to maybe find out later you had wanted the one that's not available anymore.

Also, please don't ask to be on a wait-list if you are not serious about getting a puppy from us. Being serious means you've asked all of the questions ahead of time, you've asked your spouse already and they are on board, and you've familiarized yourself on our puppy policies and contract, etc. I spend hours contacting people whom I think are waiting for their dream baby from OP Miniature Dachshunds to find out this isn't the case. It's disheartening that I took your request seriously.

I will not be keeping any wait-lists. My previous puppy people will always get priority status. ❤️❤️❤️

Daphne and R***rs babies. Born Aug. 29, 2025. Their eyes just opened less than a week ago. Three girls, two boys. APRI registerable, AKC registerable only if requested. Pet only.

Sterling and Jasper took pictures of Penelope and Drew's babies this morning before school. They were in a hurry because it isHomecoming Week and the school had a parade today that these two and their friend Jude rode horses through. But, it looks like they had fun. I mean, I guess who wouldn't!? 🥰

All of Penelope and Drew's pups are spoken for now. Thank you. ❤️

I will be posting updated pictures soon of all the puppies. My, they've grown since this picture was taken. It's been a very super busy week this past week, and this weekend I'm on call at the neighbouring ambulance service. Those who know us, who have puppies from us already, know we live extremely busy lives, but I promise our family has lots of time socializing the pups and making them the sweetest little babies ever. I credit our kiddos for making these pups so special.
