If you are a current patient, or would like to request new services, you will have the option of seeing a counselor via TeleHealth from home.
We hope that this announcement offers some assurance about your continued services with our office. We will keep monitoring this developing situation closely and will adjust our response if/as needed.
To schedule an appointment or to talk to a counselor, please call our office at 636 933-9590 and leave a message. We will get back with you within 24 hours.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is my session private and secure over the internet?
– Yes, it is. Doxy uses a HIPAA compliant, encrypted system for all of our Teletherapy calls. Your session is protected with the highest available security protocols.
If for some reason we cannot secure a good connection, we are authorized to use other methods such as Facetime or Zoom but only with your permission as these are not considred HIPAA compliant.
What do I need to participate?
– Any device with a microphone and a camera will usually do. Most smartphones, tablets and laptops have the capability to handle Teletherapy calls. A good cellular or WiFi connection helps ensure a clear and comfortable session.
Will my insurance cover sessions over the internet?
– In response to the spread of COVID-19, insurance companies are covering telehealth services, including behavioral health, for in-network providers. Out of network coverage may also be available in some cases. We can check you benefits for you when you schedule.
Will I be able to meet my therapist in person at some point?
– We will resume all traditional in-person services as soon as it is deemed safe for the public to move about freely. You will have the option of switching to an in-office format, or continuing from home if it is still covered by your insurer.
How is paperwork handled?
– We are able to send our registration forms either with email or snail mail. You fill them out on your computer or mobile device, and electronically sign them. If you prefer, we can also mail you a copy with a stamped return envelope to send them back.
