PLEASE LABEL YOUR PHOTOS!
Old family photos and unknown individuals seem to go hand in hand. It can be frustrating when you're looking at older photos that aren't labeled and you can't identify who is in the picture, the location it was taken, or what year it was taken.
This photo is one of many found in a box of photos in an attic of a house that had been in my family since 1895, in Fife Lake. That helps to determine which side of the family to focus on.
Because it's not labeled, I don't know the location, year, occasion or who these children are. They appear to be around the same age, school picture, maybe Sunday school, they appear to be dressed up, girls with bows in their hair, pinafores. The boys in overcoats, wearing ties.
Any guesses on what year this taken? Maybe someone has the same photo? Anyone in the group look familiar?
Maybe you have an old mystery photo you would like to share? Someone in the group may have the same picture, labeled or might even be able to identify an individual.
Now is the time for you to start labeling your photo collection, including your digital ones. Make it a priority because it will get more difficult with the passing of time.
