Your body can change without asking you. One random appointment. One symptom you brushed off. One moment where a doctor finally names what you have been living with. PCOS. Endometriosis. Something you never planned for and never thought would be part of your story.
It can feel like betrayal. Like your own body turned against you. Like your future suddenly looks smaller or scarier or heavier than it did yesterday.
Do not panic. And do not face it alone.
Find a gynecologist who actually listens. Advocate for yourself even when you are tired of explaining. Take the medication if you need it. Feed your body like it deserves care not punishment. Move in ways that support you instead of draining you. Rest without guilt.
Talk to people who see you. Tell someone when it hurts. Tell someone when you are scared. Silence is where depression sneaks in and convinces you that you are broken or weak or alone. You are not.
Your diagnosis is not the end of your life. It is information. It is a starting point. It is a chance to learn how to care for yourself more deeply than you ever have before.
You are still allowed joy. You are still allowed love. You are still allowed to dream big and live fully and take up space.
Your body is not your enemy. It is asking for attention. Listen to it. Care for it. And keep living.
