We would like to share the passing of Alison Foose, lovingly known as Al.
Al brought a sense of joy to those around her in so many simple, beautiful ways. Her fun, sweet, loving personality is what will be remembered most. Al was a devoted Ohio State fan, and she had a love for the color purple. She found happiness in coloring, being read to, and listening to music—especially her favorite song, “Amazing Grace”. She loved spending time with her mom, who visited her everyday…she enjoyed working on putting puzzles together.
Above all else, Al loved deeply. Her family, her friends, and her beloved dog and cat meant the world to her. Al had a bright smile, a bit of s***k, and a gentle, caring spirit that made everyone feel loved.
Al’s presence will be deeply missed, but the love she shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Please keep Al’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult time.

Doug's Memorial Service will be held on Friday April 10th at 11am at Coldren-Crates in Findlay. There will be a lunch to follow, at the Family Life Appreciation Center at Coldren-Crates.

BVRSI is so saddened by the death of Doug Smith. Doug came to live with us at BVRSI in 1995! He was our family. Doug had an infectious smile that would light up a room. He was known to many as a stubborn, “ornery” soul, who could break your heart with frustration at 5:00pm and mend it with an unexpected hug, an apology, or make you laugh by 5:01pm. Doug was a man of simple pleasures and huge appetite. He had a love of banana splits, milk shakes, polar pop, orange crush, and eating out at Denny’s. He also had a love of listening to music, acquiring t-shirts, shoes, and fun socks! Doug’s enthusiasm over these items could put a smile on anyone’s face. Doug was loved by so many and will truly be missed.
