We hear so many incredible things about 50 North and have always enjoyed our time whenever we get the chance. We truly are blessed to have such a wonderful place within our community that provides such great services for a important group of people! Read more from Erica Bickhart below!

1) Who does 50 North serve and what kind of things do you offer your community?

Membership to 50 North is free for anyone 50 and up in Hancock County. We provide a place for those 50 and up to socialize and meet new people, learn new skills, take part in fitness and wellness classes, get a nutritious lunch, and spend the day.
We have 5 areas of service:
1. Chore (build ramps, minor home repair, snow and leaf removal, mowing - extra cost involved – financial assistance available)
2. Outreach (Case managers to help with Medicare questions, community services referrals, counseling, financial assistance)
3. Wellness (fitness equipment, walking track, fitness and wellness classes – extra cost involved – financial assistance available)
4. Nutrition (dine in for lunch, take your meal to go, pick up at Curbside, or have your meal delivered - extra cost involved – financial assistance available)
5. Activities (programs and presentations, creative and performing arts classes, special events, and concerts)

2) Why is 50 North a vital part of Findlay's community?

50 North offers programs and services to support adults who are 50 and older by enriching their lives, supporting their independence, and helping them navigate life’s transitions. Meet a friend for lunch. Travel the world. Try your hand at yoga. Take an art class. Find the support you need in a community you can trust.
From retirement to changes in health and mobility, we are here to support seniors and their families during life’s transitions.

3) What are some activities or programs coming up that excite you?

There are always fun things to do here! Bingo every Monday, a variety of creative arts classes, Gameapalooza the 3rd Saturday of each month, concerts every month, exciting fitness classes, and lots of good meals in the Café!

1) Tell us a little bit about Ryse and the message that you want the community to know about your space.

3) What is your favorite thing about being a group fitness instructor?

My favorite part about being a group fitness instructor is the relationships and bonds I've built, both inside and outside of the studio. It’s all about creating a community-focused environment where we rise together. We thrive on the connections we make with each individual, supporting one another, and encouraging growth every step of the way. Watching our members grow stronger and more confident each time they walk through the door is what truly fuels my passion. I'm proud to be part of their fitness journeys, and it’s the sense of shared progress and empowerment that makes every class so rewarding.
