My Story

Hi my name is Tawnya DeSha and I am a Licensed Massage Therapist. I recently moved to Tennessee from Los Angeles, where I grew up. I received my training at National Holistic Institute College of Massage Therapy where I completed 900 hours of education and training (most states require only 500 including Tenn.). I trained in several modalities including Swedish, Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release. During schooling I had to perform both clinical and an internship. After completing school I had to pass the MBlex exam, as well as a federal background check in order to become licensed.

Once Licensed I began working at Hand and Stone massage and Facial Spa in Thousand Oaks, CA. In February 2017 I moved to Reagan, TN and began working at Bodyworks in Jackson. After moving I realized there was a need for therapist here south of Lexington. Sometimes your just not able to head to town and get a massage and that’s where I come in.

I bring the spa to your home. I bring my table, sheets, oil, and music to transform your home into your own personal spa. Then when we are finished I pack up and head out to let you enjoy your day! No need to drive to town, no need to clean your house. I just need a space the size of a twin size bed to set up. Don’t worry about your fur babies, i have cats and dogs too. Everything is the same as if you were going to a spa. Even when you are getting on the table I ask to use your restroom in order to give you privacy while changing and so that I may wash my hands.
